Are delays a part of the answer to your breakthrough?

The other day, I ask my children, does my delays cause you guys to question my stand?
Standing has so many challenges but the greatest one to bear is the delays. For me, I often get a quickening in my spirit and I can feel, something is about to happen, but then, I wake up to more waiting. My children have watched me grow and trust in the Lord, but the delay has concened them. Today, I ask God for revelation of situations that experience great delay.
Sometimes we pray for certain things to happen and we see God answer our prayers right away. Other times we might wait for years without seeing any answers or movement. The biggest challenge for the stander is to learn to wait on God for His perfect timing. It is natural to want to see our prayers answered quickly but we need to allow God time to do His work.
Isaiah 5: 18-19 warns, “Woe to those…who say, ‘Let God hurry, let Him hasten to do His work so we may see it.’”
Delays are as much a part of the answer to prayer as the final outcome. God is not only interested in the end result but in the process as well.
Seeing delay, is not always God denying our request, sometimes we have to take His timetable into consideration. God sees it all and knows how others will be affected by our answered prayers. My greatest desire is for others to see waiting as a beautiful time of healing, growing and enriched time with the Lord, as people watch me stand peacefully for God to answer my prayers. God wants us all to be an example of what it looks like to stay connected to the Lord, during your process of waiting.
While we can only see the delay, God sees where circumstances need to change. He is also waiting for the other person to repent, He is correcting issues, to ensure they don't affect his purposed outcome, this includes perfecting people who will become laborers to help usher in your breakthrough.
Another reason God often allows us to wait is so He can teach us deeper lessons that we might not learn in any other way. I always wanted to have a relationship with God, but never could I have imagined the fulfillment of knowing God intimately and depending on him for my joy and peace. During my waiting, I have learned to be patient and to put all of my trust in the Lord.
I am praying that you begin to look at delay differently and learn to delight yourself in the Lord. Here are some tips to help you during these rough seasons:
Journal your thoughts and present them to the Lord.
Find a group that you can fellowship with, and discuss some of your challenges.
Sit at the feet of God and pray and listen for his voice.
Find Bible passages that show God's character in the lives of those who were challenged with delays.
Soon, you will be restored and your testimony will include how God brought your Spouse home, and it will show others how to wait on the Lord.
