This stand has been filled with ups and downs. The most difficult times are when I tried to do things in my own will. It's funny that the very strengths, talents, and desires that I know came from God were the very things that led to my downfall. When I operated out of emotion and my own will, failure and discontent occurred. Instead of surrendering to God, I used self reasoning to fix the emptiness I felt inside. Now, we have to realize that our traumas and experiences can sometimes skew our view and cause us to go down a path that leads us further and further away from God. But the all-knowing Alpha and Omega already acounted for our mistakes. In the pain of not being able to fix or change my situation is where I collapsed before God, and he rescued me.
