Sitting at the Feet of Jesus

The greatest peace we can have is letting go of the things that we cannot change and finding peace right where we are.

I can remember doing everything in my power to save my marriage. It was exhausting and changed nothing. I would ask God what to do, and then I would trust him, and do as he ask, but when things were not going the way, I wanted them to go, I would get back involved with trying to fix things. I wanted to help God, and the mere thought that I could help God shows how deceived I was. The greatest thing that God did for me was allowing my efforts to fix my marriage fail.

Somehow, he didn't give up on me, and every enslaving yoke was broken. It was like walking into a new world. I had real peace and joy. Even when things didn't look the way I had hoped, I would get back up and brush myself off and continue trusting God.

Today, I want to speak to that person who feels like everything that they are doing is failing, and their marriage situation is getting worse. Let go and allow God to rectify the things you can not change. Find your peace and joy in the God that can change situations with the snap of a finger. Take a moment to find happiness and joy in your relationship with God. His presence is transforming, and he will do as he promised!

Your restoration will still come as God has promised, but today, rest in his peace and enjoy these moments as you grow deeper into the Lord. The enemy can't stop what God has promised!

Shalom
