They will soon awake and come to their senses #prodigal

Inevitably, we all become exhausted from our own self works. Doing anything without the Lord will one day become meaningless. God created us with gifts and a purpose, and he orchestrates our steps to the revelation of all of this. The Prodigal has one desire, and that is to do what he wants to do. Happiness is his goal.

No matter what happened in your marriage, no matter who's fault it may have been, the world sells happiness as the ultimate goal. But the truth is, that feeling is hard to find when circumstances aren't perfect. Which is why people leave their marriages in search for it!

My walk has allowed me to have peace and joy, even when nothing around me seems to be right. God has given me stability in failing and strength in trusting in him. No matter what my life looks like in this moment, I will still do all God created me for. Nothing can stop this. I have found this incredible joy, in spite of it all. Through adversity, God brought me to the end of myself.

Your spouse will be brought to the end of themselves, they will come to their senses. This acknowledgment is deeper than your spouse, having it hard in life, and then coming back to you because they have nothing better. No, it's when they come to a place where the happiness of the world can not come against the peace and completion that they feel in the arms of their Father. The prodigal had a glimpse of what it felt like to have it all, and in his worst state, he remembered the comfort of home, God is home!

When they go home to God, his peace and love for them will direct them back to their purpose and what he created them to do. They will love you as Christ loved the church. They will submit to you and pray over your footsteps. They will emerge from this circumstance without the smell of smoke, running home to you.

The greatest place that you can be, is like the Father, waiting at the window, so happy to see them return. During this time, you must heal, you must trust in God, and you must prepare, you have a party to throw.
